Project overview
Energy Ahead is an energy education program that helps residents understand energy-efficient practices and how their use of energy impacts affordability.
The program, delivered by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED) in partnership with Synergy, Horizon Power, and other non-governmental organisations (NGOs), delivers free, practical and tailored assistance to Western Australian households experiencing financial stress through energy coaching, education and access to energy efficiency products.
Through its partnership with Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services, Horizon Power offers participants two home visits, which include energy audits and surveys. These visits help participants learn about their energy use and offer personalised advice to reduce energy consumption.
